Digital Preservation Policy

The journal Revista Ciencia y Tecnología aplicada a la Salud Pública is committed to the long-term preservation of its published content through the implementation of digital preservation strategies and systems designed to ensure the permanent accessibility, integrity, authenticity, and traceability of the scholarly record.

The journal utilizes the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) system, a distributed digital preservation infrastructure that enables the collection, secure storage, and restoration of content across multiple institutional nodes. Operating under a decentralized preservation model, LOCKSS protects digital assets against data loss, technical failures, and unauthorized alterations, thereby ensuring the continuous availability of scholarly content.

The LOCKSS system has explicit permission to collect, preserve, and provide access to this Archival Unit. Through periodic integrity verification and geographically distributed redundancy mechanisms, LOCKSS helps safeguard the authenticity and long-term accessibility of the journal’s published materials.
